Cayfest
This year's Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) Cayfest events kick off on 16-17 April with a Benefit Classical Concert featuring pianist Heather Schmidt and cellist Shauna Rolston. Proceeds are in aid of recovery efforts at the Harquail Theatre and Cayman Hospice Care. The concert takes place at the First Baptist Church at 7:00 pm and tickets cost $25 for both nights. An Art Exhibition, Sale and Cayfest Photo Exhibition will be held from 18-23 April at the Grand Pavilion Commercial Centre. Public opening will be 18 April at 7:00pm. The exhibition will be open from 19-22 April from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm and on 23 April from 10:00am until 2:00 pm. With this year's Chalk Fest, The National Gallery will be joining in Cayfest activities on 23 April. Schoolchildren and local artists will have a chance to make the streets come alive with street painting, also known as chalk art. Afterwards children can don swimsuits and join in the fun of helping the fire truck wash down the sidewalks. Cold water and sun block provided.
