Debris Works Hasten
Collection of hurricane-related debris will begin in the Prospect area early next week, followed by Cumber Ave and Belford Estates in Bodden Town.
Diving… Even More Spectacular…
Though some of Grand Cayman’s underwater gullies are now full of sand, all sand has gone from others, effectively making the canyons deeper and even more spectacular. The Stingray Sandbar and Stingray City are as they were before the storm, with nothing to report other than a lot of hungry Stingrays.
Employment Relations
If you need urgent advise or assistance with employment issues, the Employment Relations Department is now up and running at its new location on the 2nd Floor of the Royal Bank Plaza, opposite the post office in George Town. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 949-0941.
Finance Continues Path to Strong Recovery
Cayman’s financial services industry is continuing its quick resumption of business to pre-hurricane levels.

The CUC Current
Portions of Seven Mile Beach and eastern areas beginning with Red Bay are on the current work list for Caribbean Utilities, as the company works to complete restoration in West Bay.
Tourism Strategy
The Ministry and Department of Tourism have agreed a strategy to reintroduce cruise and stay-over tourism in a sustainable manner. The strategy will balance the need to maintain employment and the need to reopen when Grand Cayman is ready to receive visitors. It will also preserve its reputation as a highly desired tourism destination.

Family values and education are long-standing priorities of the Ebanks family of West Bay – the Elford and Anniejoy Ebanks family, to be precise. But in this fifth week after Hurricane Ivan, strength of family relationships outstrips any other ideals.
