Immigration Amnesty Ends

Twenty-one foreign nationals recently benefited from an Immigration Amnesty offered to persons remaining in the Cayman Islands without authorization. The 18 October-1 November amnesty enabled illegal residents the opportunity to leave without fear of prosecution.

Of those who departed, 20 were Jamaicans while one was Cuban. There were 9 males and 12 females and the length of time overstayed ranged between one and seventy-plus months.
