Shelter UpdateThere are currently (as at 2 December) 29 homeless residents remaining in the East End shelter. As soon as electricity and basic furniture have been installed, a few of these families will be relocated to the Lyndhurst Apartments. The Department of Children and Family Services is also planning to acquire two affordable housing properties for some of the elderly East End shelter residents who were temporarily relocated to Sammy’s Inn with The Pines residents.
