Need a Ride? Take the Express

The Express bus service has identified routes to and from George Town for those persons who have lost their means of transportation due to hurricane Ivan.

From the West Bay area, there are 14 pickup points for passengers, starting from Batabano Plaza to the four way stop and other key locations in the district.

In the greater Prospect area, riders can board from 11 pointes along Shamrock Road and Crewe Road. These include stops at Ryan’s Retreat, Palmdale Gardens, and Tropical Gardens.

For Bodden Town passengers, pickup is available from Midland Acres through Spotts Newlands. The 14 points along this route include Tall Tree, the Northward intersection, and the entrance of Moonbeam Drive.

Passengers departing from the central George Town area can take advantage of the many locations from South Sound Road to the Agape Church, as well as points along Walkers Road.

Nine points have been identified for disembarkation:

  1. Airport
  2. Between the Fire Station and Customs
  3. CUC
  4. Corner of Red Gate Road and North Sound Road
  5. Corner of Shedden Road and Marin Drive (C&W Building)
  6. Kay’s Fabric Outlet (Shedden Road)
  7. Glass House (Corner of Elgin Avenue and Hospital Road)
  8. George Town hospital
  9. Cricket Square

The cost of the service is CI$3 each way, and the Express operates Monday through Friday in the mornings and evenings. For more detailed information on the routes of the Express, please contact the Department of Tourism at 949-0623.
